(CNSNews.com) - The United States, for the first time, is sending its own special envoy to the OIC, a grouping of 57 Muslim nations.
On Monday afternoon, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice planned to introduce that new envoy to the states that makes up the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).
Sada Cumber, now a U.S. citizen, was born in Pakistan. His job is to "promote mutual understanding and dialogue between the United States and Muslim communities around the world." One of his first official duties will be to attend the 11th Annual OIC Conference in Dakar, Senegal, on March 13-14.........................
The March 13-14 OIC summit, titled "Islam in the 21st Century," will focus on "significant" current events and challenges, "including the issue of Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Somalia, and Darfur," the OIC Web site says. "The issue of Islamophobia has high priority on the agenda," the OIC said. At the meeting, an OIC panel will release its first report on Islamophobia.

A contribution to GIULIANI for president? The SAME Giuliani who never ceases to rant on about "Islamofacsim"!!!!
The same Guiliani who had Daniel Pipes on his "team"? Granted Pipes "joined the team" in October after the campaign contribution was made, but Guiliani was ranting about "Islamofacsim for a LONG time before this last October.
UTTERLY amazing the gaul of this administration to appoint such a man who contributed to the campaign of the worse possible fear mongering Islamophobe to be the ENVOY to the OIC!!!!
Bush made the following statement in his typical poor English about Sada Cumber:
""The core of his mission is to explain to the Islamic world that America is a friend," Bush said after an Oval Office meeting with Cumber. "This is an important job. There's (that would be there ARE Mr. Bush) a lot of misperceptions about America and Sada's going to be a part of our effort to explain the truth." (source)
I wonder if the OIC would have a "misperception" about Rudolf Giuliani. I wonder if the OIC has "misperceptions"about Iraq and Palestine. Oh, wait, Mr. Cumber is going to do all the explaining of the "truth" so that ought to do the trick.
