This event will be discussing the Pilgrimage to Manzanar taken every year for the last 39 years. This year a wonderful coordination took place between NCRR and CAIR Los Angeles which meant that over 100 Muslims through CAIR also went and participated in the program. You can read about it HERE and also on Hussam's blog which had several links to great articles, HERE, and HERE, (GREAT photos)
The case of First Lieutenant Ehren Watada will also be discussed that evening. The BRAVE Japanese American lieutenant who has refused to fight in the illegal war in Iraq, has faced court martial which ended in mistrial, and now his case is in limbo.

CAIR SoCAL is in the final stages of editing their documentary on Pilgrimage 2008
