Israel, Where the US is NOT Getting Immigration Right

Yesterday while surfing the internet, I happened upon the following article:

Opening paragraph:

Traveling in Israel this week, I was surprised to learn that the one place the United States is getting immigration right is in Jerusalem. Yesterday I toured the Mevasseret Absorption Center, a sprawling facility that processes some 1,300 Ethiopian immigrants every year. It's a popular place: Al Sharpton, Hillary Clinton, and Condi Rice have all visited Mevasseret. That's because the complex is largely funded via a $40 million annual State Department grant, which covers about two-thirds of the center's costs.

My contention is this: It is blatantly against our own laws to be funding in ANY manner, Israeli immigration. This article clearly states that the US government is coverning 2/3 of the cost of the immigration center in Israel.

Who is eligible for immigration to Israel?

Under the Law of Return for the State of Israel, ONLY Jews or children of Jews

What are US laws concerning religious discrimination say in regards our own country?

Federal Protections Against National Origin Discrimination


Federal laws prohibit discrimination based on a person's national origin, race, color, religion, disability, sex, and familial status. Laws prohibiting national origin discrimination make it illegal to discriminate because of a person's birthplace, ancestry, culture or language. This means people cannot be denied equal opportunity because they or their family are from another country, because they have a name or accent associated with a national origin group, because they participate in certain customs associated with a national origin group, or because they are married to or associate with people of a certain national origin.

And needless to mention, our own Declaration of Independence:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal
Not one belonging to one "chosen" religion as opposed to another, ALL men

that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Occupation is NOT liberty, ALL laws within Israel discriminatory towards non-Jews, do NOT promote happiness for those affected. Land use laws in Israel, do NOT promote equal life.


--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends,
Zionism with the right of return for ONLY ONE people based on religion IS destructive to the Palestinians, who ARE equal with the same inalienable rights.


it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
It IS the right of the Palestinian people to resist and seek an end to Zionism which does NOT see all men as equal.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
The 40 year long occupation is INSUFFERABLE. The right of return not granted to the Palestinians since 1948 which IS granted to them under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Article 13 IS insufferable.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
The Palestinian people have EVERY SINGLE human right which we as Americans do endowed in them by our creator. PERIOD.

Not to mention the First Amenment to our own Constitution:

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.


Now Mr. Boyer, what was that first sentence you wrote again?

Mr. Boyer, you are NOT an American in your values. Our nation was built on immigration from those belong to MANY religions, NOT one. And MY tax dollars going to fund Israeli immigration goes against EVERY SINGLE American value or law we ourselves hold dear. Now where is it that the US is" getting immigration right again"?
