Tom Delay Quit Congress to Pimp for Israel

Sometimes I come across an article or a news item that jumps out at me as so outrageous it absolutely throws me for a loop. In this particular case, I honestly could not believe my eyes. It seems according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, "Tom DeLay says he quit Congress to fight for Israel and conservative causes". Yes, that's correct, the former insect exterminator from Texas and scuzzball Christian-Zionist Republican didn't quit because of the MANY scandals surrounding him, NO, he quit to become a spokesman for Israel. Well Israel, you've got a "fine and honorable"advocate willing to hock for you now (or should I say, a "martyr willing to give up his seat as the "hammer" just for you)

[S]ome sharp-eyed TIME readers were surprised last week to see a photo of the Majority Leader smoking one of Cuba’s best–a Hoyo de Monterrey double corona… The photo was taken in Jerusalem on July 28, 2003, during a meeting between DeLay and the Republican Jewish Coalition

Last year, Tom DeLay had some nasty things to say about people who engage in this kind of behavior:

Arguing against loosening sanctions against Cuba last year, DeLay warned that Fidel Castro “will take the money. Every dime that finds its way into Cuba first finds its way into Fidel Castro’s blood-thirsty hands…. American consumers will get their fine cigars and their cheap sugar, but at the cost of our national honor.”

To be fair, Tom DeLay may not have put any money “into Fidel Castro’s blood-thirsty hands.” There’s always a chance Jack Abramoff bought the cigar for him.

John Fund took the bug man at his word when interviewing him. Just goes to show, you should NEVER trust a termite-con-artist-defunct-Republican-congressman-lieing-thief. This guy is as SLIPPERY AS AN EEL!! And now he's out hocking his new book, "No Retreat, No Surrender: One American's Fight, can't WAIT to buy it, can you?
