Momentum for the March 17 mass anti-war protest in Los Angeles is building every day. On March 17, many tens of thousands of people will assemble at 12 noon on the corner of Hollywood and Vine and then march through Hollywood. March 17 is the 4th anniversary of the illegal Iraq war. We'll demand "U.S. Out of Iraq Now!" at this critical time.

The rally will feature live performances from the Grammy-winning band Ozomatli and the legendary Jackson Browne, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There will also be celebrities, community leaders and activists and much more.

45 organizing centers in Southern California, Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico are mobilizing transportation to the LA protest. People are bringing buses, vans, carpools and "peace trains." Many thousands more will come on their own in cars and on public transportation. Students are also taking a leadership role in mobilizing for the LA protest. Students from 60 schools are actively building March 17.

March 17 in LA will be coordinated with a national march on the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and other regional actions. The ANSWER Coalition initiated March 17 nationally; more than 2,000 groups and individuals have endorsed, including Cindy Sheehan, Vietnam veteran Ron Kovic, Academy Award-winning director Paul Haggis, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, United Teachers Los Angeles, Office of the Americas, Veterans for Peace, African Americans Against the War and many others. A large, broad coalition of progressive organizations is building the LA protest.

The LA March 17 protest will be the largest outpouring of anti-war sentiment in the city in recent years. Be a part of this historic action. People are sick and tired of the war and Bush administration's lies. As U.S. troops and innocent Iraqi's die in a colonial war, people at home lack healthcare, jobs and necessary social services. Not one more person should have to die in this illegal, unjust war.

March 17 Los Angeles Coalition includes, ANSWER Coalition, African Americans Against the War, Office of the Americas, American Friends Service Committee, National Council of Arab Americans, Coalition for World Peace, LA-US Labor Against the War, Alliance for Just and Lasting Peace in the Philippines, Free Palestine Alliance, GABRIELA Network, Latino Movement USA, National Lawyers Guild, Frente Amplio Progresista-Los Angeles, Nikkei for Civil Rights and Redress, Comite Pro-Democracia en Mexico, Topanga Peace Alliance, Islamic Shura Council of Southern California, Party for Socialism and Liberation, Veterans for Peace, KmB Pro-People Youth, Korean Americans for Peace, Youth and Student ANSWER, Coalition to End Israeli Apartheid-SoCal, Global Women's Strike, Muslim Student Association-West, Students for Justice in Palestine-UCLA.
