PUSH Congress

URGENT ACTION REQUIRED - HIGH PRIORITY

IF WE ARE SERIOUS ABOUT ENDING THE WAR,
WE'VE GOT TO TURN UP THE HEAT ON CONGRESS!

PLEASE CALL CONGRESS TOMORROW IF YOU DID NOT CALL TODAY.

If you did not get to make a call today, there's still time to register your opposition to the war with members of Congress. Every day this week is a Congressional Call-in Day. Tell Congress to find its backbone and stop the killing machine from wasting any more lives - either American or Iraqi.
TELL THEM - NO MORE MONEY FOR WAR & OCCUPATION!
Not one more death! Not one more dollar! Not one more day! Bring all our troops home now!

INVEST A FEW MINUTES TO END THE WAR AND BRING OUR TROOPS HOME.
TO: ALL USLAW AFFILIATES, MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS

FROM: Bob Muehlenkamp, Eileen Connelly & Denice Lombard
USLAW Congressional Pressure Task Force Cochairs

WHAT CONGRESS IS DOING:

President Bush's request for nearly $100 billion in supplemental war funding comes up for a vote on Wednesday March 7th in the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee. A vote of the full House will occur the following week. A Congressional vote for this supplemental appropriation will enable Bush to expand the war and continue the killing.
WHAT USLAW AND LABOR ARE DOING:

USLAW has chosen TUESDAY, MARCH 6th (IF YOU MISSED TUESDAY, CALL ON WEDNESDAY) & TUESDAY, MARCH 13th
to make labor's voice heard against further funding of the war and occupation in Iraq.
WHAT THE PEACE MOVEMENT IS DOING:

Flooding the Capitol Switchboards every day between Monday, March 5th and the vote on the supplemental appropriation (expected on March 14th ).

HELP FLOOD THE SWITCHBOARDS! MAKE A CALL ON TUESDAY!
OUR MESSAGE:
    * VOTE NO ON THE SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION BILL
    * PROTECT THE TROOPS BY BRINGING THEM HOME NOW
    * CUT OFF ALL FUNDING FOR THE WAR AND OCCUPATION WHICH IS
KILLING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT IRAQIS, EXCEPT
FOR THE FUNDS NEEDED TO WITHDRAW OUR TROOPS.

HOW AND WHO TO CALL:

1. CALL 1-888-796-7578 starting at 7:00 a.m. EST. (This is a special USLAW number that will connect you with the Capitol switchboard. This is a toll-free call.)

2. Ask for your member of Congress.
